The BDC philanthropic grant was awarded to the three finalists of the North Berwyn Park District’s 2017 Best of Berwyn Junior Citizen Recognition Program. The program recognizes the top 8th grade students in the City of Berwyn. Nominated by educators, community leaders and elected officials, the students are individually interviewed and go through a judging process that narrows the candidates down to three winners. The Best of Berwyn program recognizes the top students in the area based not only on academics but also on participation in the community. The BDC’s philanthropic grant helps to fund educational expenses.
