PRE-SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY
Our philosophy is learning through play. Play was once considered to be the opposite of education, but is now regarded by early
childhood specialists as the extraordinary educational process by which pre-school children become introduced to a world filled
with new and exciting discoveries. We encourage creative expression, socialization, interaction with peers, and the development
of a positive self-image. We are devoted to lead your child through this exciting and important period of their lives.
PARENT ORIENTATION
Wednesday, September 8th, 7:00pm. North Berwyn Park District, Community Center 1619 Wesley Avenue
All parents are encouraged to come and meet the Pre-School Teachers. This is the time for all questions concerning Pre-School to be answered.
REGISTRATION
To be eligible for the Preschool Program children must be 3 or 4 by September 1, 2010. Child must be able to use the bathroom without
assistance.

Age: 4-5
Encouraging you child to explore on their own as much as possible, they’ll do their own drawing, painting, experimenting,
buttoning, etc. Through fun and educational activities, we take every opportunity to help each child develop responsibility and
self-esteem.
NOTE: Must be 4 years old by September 1, 2010.

Offering your child an early social awareness of others, building self-confidence in a nurturing environment. Your child will
explore important concepts including letters, numbers, shapes and colors. Classes are fun-filled with music, songs, wonderful
stories, and art projects. All concepts are presented through hands-on learning with the emphasis being fun and discovery!
