Oktoberfest 8/25/2010
The BDC's Historic Depot District Special Events Committee is celebrating its 10th Annual Oktoberfest this year. The successful two-day event takes place in the Depot District on both sides of the Metra tracks between Oak Park and Home Avenues. In addition to record attendance of residents and visitors over the two days, it includes lots of food, live musical performances, amusement rides, kids' activities, crafters and vendors. Buy Berwyn! 6/24/2010
In January, the BDC launched Berwyn’s own shop local campaign, Buy Berwyn. The purpose of this
initiative is to build awareness regarding the benefits of shopping local and to encourage support for the local business community. When we shop local, independent businesses, we keep more of our tax dollars within our community; therefore, providing more support for our business base, parks, schools, library, police and fire, and streetscapes among other important city services.
