YOUNG AT ART

In this class your young artist will be encouraged to engage, explore, and experiment with a wide variety of art supplies. We’ll learn about color mixing, make prints, craft with nature, sculpt, collage and more! Children will be able to freely express themselves while creating fun and unique arts and crafts projects, and the best part is, the mess stays here!

AROUND THE WORLD IN 8 weeks

Participants will take an artistic tour of the world in this fun and educational class! Weekly lessons will be presented at class time which celebrate the many beautiful cultures that make up our world. Students will then recreate an art piece inspired by that week’s lesson. Some of the projects will include: Vejigante masks from Puerto Rico, Amate bark paintings from Mexico, and Papyrus paper paintings inspired by the ancient Egyptians.

CARTOONING & ANIME 8 weeks

Learn the techniques and methods to help you draw your favorite cartoons and anime characters, step by step in this exciting class! In Cartooning & Anime class, students will improve their drawing skills and learn the art of storytelling. We’ll learn how to turn real people into cartoon and anime versions of themselves, design mash ups with popular characters, and exaggerate expressions and actions.

PHOTOGRAPHY 8 weeks

If your child is a shutterbug, then our photography class is the perfect place for them to learn the basics of photography! Weekly lessons are designed to teach students the principals and rules of photography while giving them the freedom to choose their subject matter and style. Whether students have a DSLR, point and shoot, or a phone camera, they will be shown how to take clear concise pictures.

This class will present students with a weekly lesson in art and art history. Multiple painting and drawing techniques and mediums will be covered during the 8 week timeline, giving participants the opportunity and freedom to explore the many options an artist has to choose from.

In the art world there are no limits, so why limit yourself to one medium? In this class, students will have the opportunity to sculpt, collage, paint, draw, and more! Weekly lessons will be presented at class time, giving participants the opportunity to explore the wide world of mixed media art, where the only limitation is your imagination.
