Cozy Creations!

In this class students will learn the basics of crochet! Participants will become familiar with simple magic circles, chains, double stitches, and all the essentials to make their own personalized creations. Kids Healthy Treats

Learn a skill while eating well! Each week, kids learn how to make a delicious no-bake after school snack that's also healthy and nutritious. But, shh, don't tell them that! Along the way, they will also learn about good nutrition and healthy eating habits. This class will present students with a weekly lesson in art and art history. The students will then adapt and transform the lesson to create works of art that are truly inspirational and personal. Teen Art Lab is designed to be a student driven class where teens will be able to freely express themselves in a completely supportive and encouraging environment. Symmetry is everywhere. Anyone can create a repeated design as seen in carpeting, bed linens and wallpaper. In this 2 day workshop we will make a colorful rotating pattern using pencil, scissors, and tape to create a stencil that will make your tessellation.

The Art of Paper Cutting

Papel picado, Kiri-e, Jianzhi, Scherenschnitte, Wycinanki. These ar some of the words describing the art of paper cutting. From simple banners to elaborately cut pieces seen in galleries and museums, paper cutting has been a popular form of folk art for 2,000 years. Venture into this world of folk art by drawing simple images on paper and with scissors and x-acto knives cut on and around the lines to bring your images to life.

Paper Monsters

Come play Paper Monsters with us!
Paper Monsters is a game where participants play by taking turns drawing sections of a body on a sheet of paper, folded to hide each individual contribution.
The first player adds a head-then, without knowing what the head looks like, the next artist adds a torso, and so on.
In this way, a strange, comical, often grotesque creature is born. Each participant will be given a sheet of paper to get started and pass it around their family or friend group until each section is complete.

Let's create a Button Heart on Canvas. Few things are better than a handmade gift, so join us as we create a beautiful Mother's Day gift sure to please anyone. Participants will use buttons to create a heart shape that we will then attach to a hand painted canvas.
