Berwyn, IL – May 10-12, 2024 – On May 10, 11, and 12, 2024, the 16th St. Theater proudly presented the solo show, Lessons My Mother Taught Me, written and performed by Mary Olivieri, a talented writer, comedienne, and long-time Chicago-based performer. The show, which was met with laughter and heartfelt moments, provided a humorous and poignant look at Mary’s life experiences and the lasting impact of her mother, Betty.
Mary Olivieri, known for her work as a writer, comedienne, and actor, brought her unique blend of humor and storytelling to the stage. With a background at the Second City and as the co-creator of The Spew and The League of Improv Heroes, Mary is a well-known name in Chicago’s improv scene. In addition to her successful career, she credits much of her drive to the influence of her mother, Betty, who serves as the inspiration for this heartfelt solo show.
