North Berwyn Park District Celebrates 5th Anniversary of the Corrida del Mariachi 5K with Record-Breaking Participation and Community Support

Berwyn, Illinois– August 17, 2024 – On August 17, 2024, the North Berwyn Park District (NBPD) proudly celebrated the 5th Anniversary of the Corrida del Mariachi 5K. The event was a tremendous success, drawing over 1,300 runners, the largest turnout to date, and boasting a vibrant display of community spirit and support. With more than 80 sponsors and 80 community organizations and vendors, the 5K race was an unforgettable celebration of fitness, culture, and community.

The Corrida del Mariachi 5K has become a beloved annual event, combining the thrill of a race with the colorful energy of mariachi music, traditional performances, and cultural pride. This year, the race attracted not only runners but also over 3,500 spectators, who cheered on participants and enjoyed the lively atmosphere that permeated the streets of Berwyn.

The event included:
