North Berwyn Park District Hosts Senior Health Workshop: Eye Health Care

Berwyn, Illinois– July 17, 2024 – The North Berwyn Park District (NBPD) hosted a successful Senior Health Workshop on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, focusing on Eye Health Care. Presented by Dr. Anjali Tannan of Rush University Medical Center, the workshop provided valuable information and insights about maintaining healthy vision, particularly for individuals aged 55 and older.

The free workshop, held at the Community Center, was a part of NBPD’s ongoing commitment to supporting the health and wellness of its senior community. Dr. Tannan emphasized the importance of annual eye examinations for adults over 60, as recommended by the American Optometric Association. The session also covered common eye health issues that arise with age, including conditions like glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.
